Obama votes PRESENT on action against Somali pirates

When asked by a reporter, “Mr. Obama, answer yes or no. Will you take military action against the Somali pirates?” Obama replied, “PRESENT!”

3 mahaffy April 9, 2009 at 2:39 pm: Since his political life was rather obscure and brief prior to jumping into the national arena, I can’t say for sure, but it seems t’me I recall that that’s how he voted on most issues while in the legislature; must be he just acted out of habit.

Besides, when it got there what is it doing? Voting present?
