I remember in the ’90s when Republicans tried to decrease the increase in school funding. Democrats accused them of trying to starve children. Since 9/11, Democrats have whined about how the money spent on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan could have been spent at home… on the children.
Now that Democrats are in control and trying to ram a $1.1 trillion fraud stimulus plan down our throats, Republicans need to borrow these sound bites and use them against their Democrat foes. “This stimulus plan will starve future generations of children whose parents won’t be able to pay it back! This stimulus plan will cost us more than George Bush’s war!”
It’s so simple. Repeat the two lines above at every turn and the Republicans would be able to defeat this monstrosity.
Alas, they are not called the Stupid Party for nothing.
