This week our Secretary of State/President, Hillary Clinton, continued her world sightseeing tour by visiting the president of Mexico, Felipe Calderon. Here, she discussed the problems caused by the drug wars on the Mexico/U.S. border and publicly concluded that America’s insatiable appetite for drugs was, in part, to blame for the carnage there.
What a malignant conclusion to make.
By using the word, “insatiable,” Hillary assumed that we all woke up one morning and discovered, “Damn I have an insatiable appetite for drugs,” even though we had never taken drugs before. The fact is people, especially young people, get started on drugs because THE DRUGS WERE THERE. This is not as hard to figure out as the, “What came first, the chicken of the egg?” scenario.
It’s a fact that drug peddlers incubate drug users, but after that drug users don’t cause the drug lords to inflict barbaric decapitations after they murder their competition.
Further, I suppose Hilary hasn’t brightened to the notion that maybe some of the 20-million illegal immigrants who came from Mexico may have brought their insatiable appetite for drugs with them when they snuck into this country.
My prediction is that this open border, amnesty prone administration and Congress will use the drug conflict on the border to create a refugee zone on the American side of the border and then shortly thereafter declare that all illegal persons be given asylum.
I’m just saying.
