Politicians aren’t really like me, or have the same problems either. Politicians from both parties are a necessary evil of which I must choose the lesser.
Firearms, however, are different.
If my gun breaks, I can return it within the warranty period. If my politician breaks his promises, all I can do is pound sand for 2–4 years.
My gun serves me. Politicians serve themselves and put our future in the cross hairs.
I only get one vote per election. I can buy dozens of firearms though.
Americans overwhelmingly opposed bailouts, Communism, and most of Washington. But, what does Washington do? They ignore us, label honest Americans extremists, and try to pass legislation declaring Americans that don’t want unlimited immigration, Communism, and racial preferences for minorities enemies of that state that would be rounded up and detained in old military bases. At least my gun can’t charge me with a hate crime and throw me in jail.
Is there any wonder why gun sales have skyrocketed?
Nationwide tea parties were a vocal representation of the anger millions of Americans have right now with our dysfunctional government. Gun sales represent the silent revolution going on right under Washington’s nose.
Each gun sold represents a patriotic messenger riding his horse and shouting, “The British are coming! The British are coming!”
This army, though, will have millions more (better armed) recruits than our forefathers.
